So You Want to Be a Music Video Director

The recipe is simple:

  1. Take a classic song, in this case, Elton John's "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding"

  2. Go to http://images.google.com and find as many pictures of the artist possible; download these to your hard drive

  3. Open up a new project in iMovie, put the mp3 in the audio track and load all your images that you just downloaded from the media window. Use those for the long instrumental introduction. Create title sections with the lyrics of the song to appear like Karaoke night at the local pub during the singing. Make an mp4 of that project.

  4. Post it on YouTube.

And VOILA!

ps. It's a damn good song, though.

Is it not a rule that there must be a mostly naked woman on the hood of a car in every music video?

Or was that back in the days when MTV played music videos?
