The band I'm in, the Semiotics, will be playing our first "gig" in my backyard on August 4th at 6pm. The Semiotics are Matt Cutter (Vocals, Guitar), Blake Stenning (Bass), Howard Motteler (Drums), and Glen Engel-Cox (Keys). We play about two-thirds original "alt rock" music and 1/3 covers (Johnny Cash, Kinks, Guided by Voices, The Band). We've been playing together for the last year and we think we're ready for an audience.

We're inviting all folks we know to bring a lawn chair and some bug repellent. There will be snacks and drinks (donations accepted).
