Conflict of Interest
I think it's obvious that Bush has a conflict of interest when it comes to the Lewis "Scooter" Libby case, so that any action on his part is decidedly partisan and in his own interest. This is made clear, even more so, by his record of not granting as many pardons and other possible actions of that sort as other Presidents in this stage of their Presidency. That's not to say this was unexpected, but to underscore the hypocrisy of his statement that he did so for any reason beside the obvious. He's a lame duck, with the lowest approval rating of a President since Richard Nixon, and I'm not so sure he's not going to break Nixon's low record, as he limbos down the last few months of his term.
What I really would like to see now, though, is the media ask every one of the Republican Presidential candidates whether they would have commuted Libby's sentence, just to see them wiggle a bit. Come on, Fox News, show that you can be an "objective" source and pick up on this little idea!

If there was ever a case that shows 'white wash" this is it.
This Administration would not know the difference between right and wrong.
This administration is made up of total lies and greed.
If this had been a Democrat. Please, please tell me how long it would take Bushie to respond with a pardon of sorts.
To commute a sentence and only pay a fine and probation is reprehensible in nature.
I WILL GUARNTEE THE NEXT STEP IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL PARDON>
Bushie Cheney Roverer Mona Lisa Lice and the rest of the this fascist regime should all be thrown out of office, impeached and prisoned.
What a slap in the face to LADY JUSTICE and the AMERICAN PEOPLE.
