2.75 Anniversary

Tonight we celebrated our second and three/quarter "anniversary" of marriage with a simple, elegant dinner at Ray's the Classics here in Silver Spring. We can choose between the last day of February and the first day of March for our celebration in non-leap years, but we tend to make it the February date. Nothing fancy this year, although we'll be starting to think about what we're going to do next year for the official "three" anniversary--last time, we had a party at Chef Geoff's and invited family and friends.

As for Ray's, we like it well enough. It's rightly named, as they tend to do things as in the 1960s, where a steak is two-inches thick (not that we would order one, but we spied one a table over) and a side of broccoli is two entire steamed heads still on the stem. Their menu is limited for vegetarians, so it's definitely not a place we can visit more than once or twice a year, although I'd be tempted to go back just for the key lime pie, which was probably the best I've gotten in a restaurant.
