I Decline the Offer

As much as I'd like to be retired by now, I think I probably have another fifteen to twenty years of daily toil in me, so this recent solicitation from the American Association of Retired Persons seems to me a little preemptive, given that I'm only 40 (note how the text talks about getting the most of life over 50--did they make a mistake in their system somewhere?). Even if I did join, would I be able to take advantage of all the benefits since I'm not actually in their bracket?

AARP solicitation

I likely wouldn't join the hidebound horde anyway--I don't care for much of what AARP supports by way of their political lobby. But it just seems to be a little early for them to be sending me an invitation to join. I'm not that old.
