Tennis Leg Update

Although I'm walking normally these days--no crutches and no limp--according to the orthopedic specialist I still shouldn't play tennis for at least two more months or I risk the danger of re-injuring the right calf muscle that I tore six weeks ago. Given the recent heat, which I'm not sure I wanted to be playing tennis in, that's not so bad, although four months of no tennis in my prime tennis season has been very hard to take. This injury has introduced me to several new things, the worst of which was physical therapy, which I've alway heard stories about, and now have one of my own. The first session wasn't so bad, but that was the evaluation. I didn't mind the little electro-therm treatment, or the exercises, but the deep muscle massage was the pits.

Anyway, no more of that, although I have to keep up with the stretches/exercise of this muscle on my own for the next couple of months.
