Dust-up

The Ghost of Gordon Sumner hits Dustin Hoffman between the celluloid with his own words:

"Hoffman said he quit because 'studios weren't interested in the kind of films that people of my generation wanted to see.' He added: 'I just lost that spark I always had."

I guess that means voicing a horse in Racing Stripes was just the sort of cinematic cocaine he needed.

On the other hand, Hoffman and Lily Tomlin were excellent in I Heart Huckabees. Maybe he did Racing Stripes for a grandchild or something.
