Truth in Searching

This falls into the category of "how did they do that?" and "where can I go to congratulate them on a job well done?"

Google search on "go to hell" (via my 2p).

It's not that I hate Microsoft. I actually like Access, Word and Excel, even as they continue to bloat out of proportion. What I dislike is Microsoft's stranglehold on the operating system market and its arrogance in that arena. Windows is not the best operating system, despite what Redmondites actually believe; Mac OS X or 9.1 isn't either; neither is Linux. The best operating system is that which is to come, and we're being prevented from getting there because the company that has the most to gain from it has the least incentive to do so. Give us some real competition in the OS market and you wouldn't have viruses like Klez or Code Red still plaguing systems (Microsoft couldn't have ignored such egregious security flaws if consumers actually had the option of switching to something else).

Note that AOL is third in the same search, Disney is third and CNN is sixth. You have to wonder what someone has against the University of North Carolina though.

A year later, and all of these companies are no longer on the list, likely because Google outgamed the gamers who had achieved the results in the first place. It was funny at the time, though.
