Just when you thought Amazon couldn't find yet another business to stream into, they reveal yet another beta service: Restaurant Menus. Okay, this isn't going to make much a difference for places like Richland, Washington, where I once lived and where the decent restaurants could be counted manually without removing your gloves. But for a town like Washington, DC, being able to look over a menu before actually going to a restaurant is very useful, especially if you are picky pseudo-vegetarians like Jill and I who also like to get some value for their dining dollar.

I also like the fact that you can review restaurants using the same scheme that Amazon tracks book and product reviews. That could be very useful, as restaurants with lousy service will be noted for such.
