Fresh from the World SF Convention

Less than two weeks after last week's installment, I return to your mailbox with something a little less dated, at least in the composing of it. Two books in this installment (O'Leary and Joyce) were purchased at LoneStarCon, this year's World SF Convention. I found the dealer's room to be the best thing about the convention, but my impression is probably due more to a change in my personality than due to anything mishandled by the Convention committee. It was nice to see old friends, however.

As always, I invite discussion on items mentioned herein. The last installment saw one response--ONE! Now, I realize that last installment was a poor, sad creature compared to a normal one, but book commentators living in the desert Northwest get lonely, and email is the only thing that sometimes makes life worth living. I'd beg, but I think I already have.

Speaking of sad lists, here's the current status of the books-yet-to-read shelves:

Short story collections/anthologies: 40
Non-fiction: 23
Fiction: 105

And that's not including some of the review books that I've received and have not decided to add to the actual "to-be-read" shelves yet. Yow.
