Rancho Suizo Lodge, Nosaro
Dinner at the lodge restaurant--the lodge is a much smaller place that is more to our taste than the Hotel Tamarindo Diria was. The other people staying here at the moment are from Canada--Sandy and Dave--she just got her degree in Environmental Science, so of course we hit it off well (Jill's an environmental engineer and I work for an environmental consulting firm). They look our age and share, it sounds like, many of our observations of the country. This place compared to Tamarindo is like the expatriate group at the Hira Rosa Restaurant in Monteverde, compared to the touristas at the Hotel Bel Mar.
We came down to Nosaro because the Lonely Planet guide said that the snorkeling was good at the Playa Guinos, plus we wanted someplace that was less tourist inhabited.
